Al Gore in Toronto
Former US Vice President Gore is in Toronto to promote his passion... "saving mother Earth". To think he wasn't riding his bike around town, instead his entourage added a few tons of toxins to the downtown atmosphere. Al Gore has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize - not sure how his recent efforts relate to this - and his docu-drama "Inconvenient Truth" could win an Oscar (good acting maybe) in a couple days.
Gore is in TO on a series of global lectures on climate change and catastrophic global warming and urges the public to take steps in reducing energy consumption. The recent switch to fluorescent light bulbs by countries like Australia is being encouraged, however the discussion has not yet highlighted the downside of reading with fluorescent lighting.
Godspeed VP Gore! I knew you had it in you...
More on the fluorescent lighting proposal by the Government of Ontario later.
